WEST OF ENGLAND OPEN AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - WAR MEMORIAL TROPHY (Men)

Entry Fee Visitors £70 per player - Members £15 per player

Open to male golfers of Amateur Status as defined by The Rules of Amateur Status.

Entries will be limited to 144 entries (99 Men and 45 Women)

Closing date for entries will be at 12.00 noon on 18/7/2025.

In the event of entries being oversubscribed, places will be decided by ballot of those with the lowest Handicap Index. (Separate ballot for Men and Women)

In the event of either field being undersubscribed (Men or Women) on the closing date, entries will be given to those on the reserve list to make up a field of 144 competitors in total.

Format - Strokeplay over 18 holes played from scratch.

The prize giving presentation will be held in the Clubhouse immediately following the return of the last competitors.  All prize winners are invited to attend.

West of England Open Amateur Invitational (WoE)

WAGR points available to competitors

Competitors can qualify for the WoE through the War Memorial Trophy. There will be a minimum of 6 places (Male) and 9 places (Female) available for the leading players into the WoE.

The exact number of invitational places into the WoE from the WMT will be published on the day of the tournament. 

WoE Dates - Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August 2025

A field of 16 players playing matchplay from scratch (16 Men & 16 Women) in separate competitions. 

There is no additional entry fee for competitors in the WoE.

Matches will be played over 18 holes

The winner will receive a memento and a voucher to the value of £700

The runner-up will receive a memento and a voucher to the value of £450

The losing Semi-Finalists will receive a voucher to the value of £250 each
